Meet Raz

Scales, goggles and a red scarf

Raz is a pangolin. Bronze plates cover his crown, back, shoulders, chest and the whole of his tail, while his face and belly are cream, with a long tapering snout and round ears. Aviator goggles sit pushed up on his forehead and a red scarf streams out behind him. He is not in Tempo Line: Raz belongs to Razaki Racers, but Tempo and the rest of the cast drive alongside him.

This is Raz as Razaki Racers draws him, rendered big and lifted out of his kart so you can see all of him. Look for the amber lenses of his goggles and the red scarf wrapped round his neck.

On the racer select

Raz sits in the Medium class, in the middle on every bar. Top speeds are so close together that how you drive matters more than who you pick. His scarf streams out behind him as he drives, and his voice is warm and plucky, all round chuckles and determined hups.

Being the mascot gives him no extra speed: he shares his class with Tempo, Drift and Quill. His one privilege is a showy one. The shell of plates that Golden Scales put round a kart shines brightest on Raz, because the plates are his own.
