Nibbles the hamster

Meet Nibbles

A hamster on the roll

Nibbles is a round golden-brown hamster with a cream belly, muzzle and paws, small round ears with pink fronts, and big eyes with an orange iris. He runs inside a clear ball, drawn as rings in light blue and white, and it turns as far as he travels. Like Bubbles in her bowl, he gets around in a little world of his own.

Species: Hamster
Moves like: Rolls in a ball
Signature look: Golden coat, clear ball

Nibbles up close

This is Nibbles as the game draws him, rendered big. His ball is an open frame of rings, so nothing hides his pedalling legs or the pink fronts of his ears.

Nibbles' in-game 3D model: a golden-brown hamster with a cream face and belly, orange eyes and pink-lined ears, inside a clear hamster ball drawn as a blue hoop and a tall white hoop with pink beads. — Nibbles’ in-game model, rendered in high resolution.

Coat: Golden brown, with a cream belly, chest, muzzle and paws
Ears: Small and round, with pink fronts

In Tempo Line

How Nibbles rolls the line

Nibbles runs inside his ball, and the ball turns by exactly as far as he travels. His little legs pedal once on every beat and he leans forward into the run. Because the ball is clear, you can watch every pedal. At Presto speed his legs pedal once every second beat instead.

At the finish the ball whirls twice on the spot, and he leaps up inside it and stands on his hind legs, waving.

Make him yours

Colour: The Colour slot paints his whole coat. His cream belly, pink ears, orange eyes and the ball keep their own colours.
Hats: Every hat in the Shop fits him, in every pose.
Glasses: Try a pair on in 3D on the Characters screen first.
Trails: A trail follows his ball along the path.

In Tempo Line, the ball is part of the look, not the game: Nibbles is as wide on the path as everyone else, so no character is easier to play.

On the racer select

Nibbles is a Light racer, which means quick off the line and easy to bump about. Every racer’s top speed is almost the same, so how you drive counts for more than who you pick. He keeps his clear ball round him in the driving seat, and his voice is all quick squeaks and excited double hups.
